چکیده
Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) is a branch of spectroscopy commonly used for identifying the chemical structure various materials. One areas in which NMR provides accurate data determination nuclear moments. This work reviews experiments with nuclei light elements simple molecules. Since shielding constants from up-to-date quantum calculations are now available, very dipole moments many can be determined. Recent experimental measurements 1H, 2H, 3H, 3He, 6Li, 7Li, 9Be, 10B, and 11B appropriate theoretical predictions presented commented upon. Several achievements this field using different methodologies, such as spectroscopy, molecular beam experiments, Penning trap method reported.

On shielding of nuclear electric dipole moments in atoms
We demonstrate explicitly that some recent calculations of atomic electric dipole moments (EDM) are incomplete. A contribution overlooked therein is pointed out. When included, it cancels exactly the result of those calculations, and thus restores the standard conclusions for nuclear EDM in atoms. The existence of EDMs of elementary particles, nuclei, and atoms is forbidden by CP invariance. Th...
متن کاملThe Nuclear Magnetic Shielding of the F-Nuclei in KZnF3
Using solid state multiple pulse techniques the magnetic shielding tensors a of the F nuclei in a single crystal of KZnF 3 have been measured. The F~-site symmetry in KZnF3 , D 4 h , allows axial anisotropy of a and determines fully the principal shielding directions. Using CaF 2 as the reference compound, the average shielding is + 85 ppm and the shielding anisotropy is + 18.4 ppm. These resul...
متن کاملTable of Nuclear Magnetic Dipole and Electric Quadrupole Moments
This Table is a compilation of experimental measurements of static magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole moments of ground states and excited states of atomic nuclei throughout the periodic table. To aid identification of the states, their excitation energy, half-life, spin and parity are given, along with a brief indication of the method and any reference standard used in the particular meas...
متن کاملMagnetic moments of light nuclei from lattice quantum chromodynamics.
We present the results of lattice QCD calculations of the magnetic moments of the lightest nuclei, the deuteron, the triton, and ^{3}He, along with those of the neutron and proton. These calculations, performed at quark masses corresponding to m_{π}∼800 MeV, reveal that the structure of these nuclei at unphysically heavy quark masses closely resembles that at the physical quark masses. In part...
